Does it mean that I cannot reach my data anymore if the program cannot start due to an error?
No, it does not mean this. Unfortunately, several errors can occur which is absolutely independent
from the program, namely which are caused by system failure and it’s not proper functioning. For
example, the .NET framework which belongs to Windows and which is essential for operating the
program. .NET framework failure, its lack or changes happened during Windows updating. However,
these errors do not concern the user database which stores data. After troubleshooting the user can
open and use its data again.
In case of hardware failure (for example a ruined hard drive), a failure caused by a virus or a program originated from a third party the database may be deleted or damaged. In this case data can be restored from a previous backup copy.
