Error on first opening software
Get: "Error happened during data base connection(cannot get back connection string)!
RE: Error on first opening software
This message is coming, when the installation can not write the database file location into your config file. It is possible to do it manually. Please send me an email to freeaddressbook@gassoftwares.com , and I will send you the instructions, what you have to do.
Thanks

Can't paste into Note area
When I try to paste into Note area "Masolas" appears. What is this about?
RE: Can't paste into Note area
We will remove the none English texts from the application as soon as possible. The "Masolas" means Copy. I apologize therefore. Otherwise you can paste the text with your keyboard with the CTRL+V button combinations.

Error
After "connecting to existing database" in LibreOffice Base, I tried to open the database. An error message stated that the connection to the data source could not be established. Not a valid password. Error code 214721843. How can I open mdb file in LibreOffice? I'm using the portable version of the software.
RE: Error
The mdb file is protected by general password. You can not open with other application.

Password
I remove the password for the database, but when I try to open it in MS Access, it ask for a password. When I use the Free Address Book, it does not ask me for the password.
I need to modify multiple records in MS Access but I cannot do it in the application. Thank you for your help.
RE: Password
Dear User,
We added a secret general password to the database file, which prevent the user access from outer application like Access. It was necessary, because many user asked the password protection feature. That general password is not equal with user password, this only protect the database structure and to access data from Access.
Thank you for understanding.

Sharing on a network
This address book looks very good, I am very keen to use it. Can someone provide more information about how this can be shared on a network. Does Free Address Book need to be installed on every PC? What exactly should the shortcut look like that points to the shared database?
Thanks

Continuation
I use Win 10, so I have .NET 4.6, which should supercede v 2.2. The config file expects connectionString="Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=C:\Users\Athena\AppData\Roaming\GAS Softwares\Free Address Book\AddressBook_2.0.mdb". But there is no GAS Softwares directory in C:\Users\Athena\AppData\Roaming.

RE: Continuation
Do you get any error message? The Win 10 use .NET 4.6, but it is not enough. You have to turn on .NET 2.0 and 3.5 in Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Turn Windows feature on or off and in this window check the first option (.NET Framework 3.5 ...).
I hope this will solve your problem. If not feel free to ask.
