Have installed AB onto Windows 8

How do I get my old address book detail which has been transferred from Windows 7 onto windows 8

Copy and paste in the notes section

Just installed program. Very nice. I was just wondering why the program doesn't allow copy and paste in notes section and could this possibly be added in future updates.

need a different separator

Hello,
I try to export my contacts into a excel file (csv Format). The problem is that I have adata field called "notes" 256 characters long with comments and infos and sometimes a colon is included in these comments. Therefore the content and the order is destroyed. Is there a possibility to change the separator to another sign e.g. "|"

Putting names and phone numbers in alphabetical Order?

I just Downloaded your program to help me with contacts in our Church body, by the way Thank you, and it is really helping me a lot, I am still inputting our names and phone numbers into your program but I have noticed they are not in a-z Order! When I print this our will they then be in Order? Or do I have to do that Manually? Thank you for your Time, Blessings Dee from, The Way Church.

Printing

is it possible when printing contacts details to show more than one contact per page? using the select fields page i am only printing a limited number of fields, and so in theory could fit 3 to 4 contacts per page,reducing the amount of paper required

I figure out what was wrong with import.
when i choose comma character instead of semicolon i constantly getting this error message: "Data type mismatch in criteria expression.". When i was using semicolon than i get information message: "Contacts successfully imported from CSV file!" but empty remains database.
Solution: using of comma in character of CSV, but be sure to check your regional settings. Us settings work fine for me...

Yes, i hit browse, choose file, selected "semicolon" in CSV settings, clicked on "Add all source field in this order" and than clicked on Import. I get message: Contacts successfully imported from CSV file! But database remained empty.

Did you also hit the button on the bottm right, to import all the fields?
You have to associate your exported layout to the import-layout of the address-book.
